At the end of 2017, McCown will retire as the firm's CEO. On Jan. 1, Gordon will assume the position of chairman, and Ramin Cherafat, the firm's current COO, will assume the role of CEO.
McCownGordon Construction already has begun work on the $47.5 million redevelopment project, which is expected to result in the spring 2018 opening of the 21c Museum Hotel – Kansas City.
