From inception, McCownGordon has been a technology leader in our industry.

It’s ingrained in our process; from day one, our team uses the right technology to make their job efficient and collaborative. Because the right tools enhance the journey for our clients and partners.

We have a team of innovators who dedicate their time to researching and testing the latest emerging technology, bringing the best option to our clients for a better building experience.

Technology at McCownGordon means taking a tablet to the job site, holding it up to an empty space, and seeing the future. It means understanding how the parts and pieces come together before they even arrive to provide the most efficient deliverables to our clients.

Our integrated project teams change the way we transform communities and skylines.

At McCownGordon, we use advanced digital tools to add value throughout the timeline of the project. Collaboration is possible through Virtual Design and Construction (VDC), cloud computing and mobile technology. We take time to teach owners, architects, engineers and trade partners the newest technology to make the most informed decisions for project success.

VIRTUAL DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION (VDC)

The ability to model a building virtually before breaking ground means risk can be managed with minimal impact. Coordination meetings incorporate the clash detection and resolution of MEP trade partner models for conflict before construction begins. Holding these virtual reviews increases the level of quality control early to reduce costly field conflicts later. The advanced digital tools add value throughout the entire project timeline; reducing cost, time and waste, while improving efficiency and quality.

Field Mobility

Our team shares the models with designers and trade partners for a seamless connection between preconstruction and construction. Our technology connects the field and office in ways never done before. Technology tools bring mobility to project information, daily logs, RFIs and electronic punch lists. Digital plan tables incorporate up-to-date digital drawing sets and full 3D models. Mobile technology increases the speed of analysis and resolves conflicts on site resulting in reduced time and cost. Our team shares these tools with our clients, giving the owner the ability to see the latest documents anytime and anywhere.

Emerging Technologies

If it can be done better, it should be. As leaders in virtual design and construction, we live on the cutting edge of research and development, consistently seeking out the latest construction technologies. Whether it’s a new scheduling software, collaborative cloud-based programs or laser scanners, our robust VDC and IT teams constantly research emerging technologies that benefit our clients and bring a seamless transition from preconstruction to construction and from the office to the field.

Process and Packaging line simulation

Our team builds computer simulation models of real-life manufacturing systems to visualize, analyze and run experiments on the model. By building these virtually before in the manufacturing facility we can help ensure operational efficiency in process and packaging lines and reduce risk during production.
