2027 intern roles include:

Internship opportunities are available at McCownGordon office locations in Kansas City, Dallas, Wichita, and Manhattan. Additional opportunities available at select project sites nationwide.

  • Our Summer 2027 internships will be May 17 – August 6, 2027.

  • We’re looking for a positive attitude, students who exemplify our core values, and a healthy sense of curiosity about the industry! Interns are not expected to know all the answers but are expected to ask a lot of questions. Our interns are given responsibilities similar to a new hire, but we provide additional coaching and direction to ensure each intern’s success. Ideal candidates will have completed sophomore year of bachelor’s degree program in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field by May 2027.

  • Your resume serves as your application.

  • Yes, the internship pays $22/hour.

  • The McCownGordon internship program is our main pipeline for entry level associates. Approximately 68% of our interns have been hired full-time after graduation.

During my internship, not only did I learn a lot about construction means and methods, but also about communicating with trade partners, and how to be a professional in the industry. Once I got back to school, and during my other internships, I relied heavily on my experience from my summer with McCownGordon. This internship program is unique because you are not expected to know everything yet, but you are still treated as if you have been a part of the team from the beginning of the project. I felt included, and valued, and trusted. It was not a hard decision for me to come back as a full-time member of the McCownGordon team.
