The new middle school includes over 125,000 square feet of 21st-century learning environments including collaborative spaces and classrooms.
The new facility is comprised of three wings of classrooms for each grade (sixth through eighth) that flows into a large commons area for collaboration between the grades. The commons area also includes the cafeteria, kitchen, labs, gymnasium, art studios and music room access.
Additions to the middle school included a 16,395 square foot performing arts center. The new performing arts center includes 716 seats, a mezzanine for future AV expansion and over 140 drywall ceiling clouds hanging in the seating area for acoustical support. Â Perfect coordination was required to ensure the wall panels and light fixtures lined up with ceiling clouds.
