
The school’s innovative design includes a lower-level walkout with three stories, as well as a gymnasium built on top of the cafeteria and kitchen area. For added safety, Weber Elementary incorporates an ICC 500 storm shelter, providing students and staff with a secure refuge during severe weather. An atrium and learning staircase create an open and inviting atmosphere, connecting all three floors of the building.
As the District’s first Construction Management at Risk project, McCownGordon conducted extensive preplanning during the preconstruction phase to navigate early budget challenges effectively. Additionally, our team effectively managed the project schedule when unforeseen circumstances of inclement weather threatened completion. We collaborated closely with trade partners, adjusting schedules as needed to ensure the project was completed on time for the start of the school year.
