The project included construction of a new 325-bed, 180,000 square-foot, mixed-use student apartment building located on the edge of the campus adjacent to the football stadium.

Creating a campus connection to downtown Warrensburg, The Crossing bridges the gap between the historic downtown retail area and the campus environment.

The project also includes a new events plaza to act as a gathering space for students that has restaurant dining with indoor/outdoor seating, a coffee shop with café seating, retail shopping, convenience store shopping, bike parking and rental, a recreational volleyball court, fire pit, musical/dramatic performances, art installations, commencement ceremonies, and, of course, football, track and band activities at the stadium.

Along with this project, McCownGordon also completed multiple other projects on campus including the General Services Building replacement, construction of new stadium locker rooms and training facilities and the renovations of Morris Hall and Fitzgerald Dining Hall.
