Habitat For Humanity Kansas City Office Renovation

Project Case Study
Habitat for Humanity helps build structures for families every day, but when it was time for their own renovation, they turned to the expertise of McCownGordon. Their facility has operated with a variety of uses since its construction in 1940 and currently doesn’t meet the needs of the organization.

Habitat for Humanity Kansas City Office Renovation

The new space will house office and meeting rooms, large gathering room and workshop space for small custom projects incorporated into Habitat Homes. The workshop will be flexible to grow into a training space for future homeowners wishing to learn more on home maintenance. Habitat for Humanity staff will also enjoy an outdoor space for small gatherings.

Updating the infrastructure of the aging 1940s building is a major portion of the project. A new roof and windows will provide an updated exterior while interior MEP upgrades including, ductwork, wiring and HVAC updates will keep the facility running efficiently for years to come. Maximizing the budget on this non-profit project is paramount to meet the needs of the organization. Collaborating with the entire team early, McCownGordon is assisting in fundraising for the capital campaign by providing accurate budgets at an early level of design.
