McCownGordon Construction promotes industry veteran

Todd Knight named senior vice president

McCownGordon promoted an industry veteran, Todd Knight, to senior vice president. Knight will continue to lead the Kansas business unit which includes the firm’s Wichita and Manhattan offices. In his new role, he will be responsible for guiding everything from business development and construction services to strategic growth and overall operations for the Kansas business unit.

“This promotion is well-earned by Todd”, said Ramin Cherafat, chief executive officer of McCownGordon. “He has played an instrumental role in expanding our footprint as one of the nation’s top construction management firms. With his new role, I am confident that the Kansas business unit will continue to thrive and excel in delivering exceptional construction services to our clients in the industries we serve.”

Knight has more than two decades of experience in the industry and has been with McCownGordon for the last 13 years. Over his years with the firm, he has led the efforts to open two new offices in Wichita and Manhattan, and through these efforts, McCownGordon consistently ranks among the top contractors in Kansas. Knight excels at leading and developing teams while delivering exceptional client service.

“I’m excited to expand on the strong foundation of successful work we’ve built in the Kansas region and to continue delivering an unmatched customer experience for our construction clients,” said Knight. “We have a strong team and I look forward to continuing to build upon our reputation as a trusted leader in the region”.

This promotion furthers the firm’s unique approach to construction and ability to deliver sophisticated preconstruction and technologically advanced solutions to clients in several markets. “We are committed to continuously exploring opportunities that promote growth and success for our associates, clients and the company,” Cherafat added. “This promotion is not only a recognition of Todd’s achievements but also a testament to our commitment to nurturing and promoting talent within our organization”.

Active in the community, Knight serves on several boards including the Greater Wichita Partnership Executive Board and Strategic Advisory Team. In 2021, he was recognized by Ingram’s Magazine as one of the 50 Kansans you should know.
