Moves from #10 to #5 Ranking on ENR Top Contractors List

Kansas City, MO (August 1, 2019) – Engineering News-Record Midwest, the leading news, analysis and data resource for the construction industry, recently announced its 2019 Top Contractors. The rankings, published annually, identify the top-performing general contractors, both publicly and privately held, based on construction contracting-specific revenue across the Midwest.

McCownGordon Construction leapfrogged to rank as the #5 contractor in Missouri, with revenue at $229.77 million from projects in the state. Last year, the firm was ranked 10th in Missouri and #1 in the state of Kansas. Additional rankings included placing #25 in the Midwest. The firm has expanded its presence into the state of Missouri through a variety of different projects in 2018, including Children’s Mercy Research Institute, Truman Medical Center’s University Health II, Lincoln Middle School, and 46 Penn Avenue among many others. In addition to Missouri, McCownGordon works in Kansas, South Dakota, Oklahoma and other states in the Midwest.
