Dean Youngers Announces Retirement

Dean Youngers, Director of Construction Operations at McCownGordon Construction, has announced his retirement after 47 years in the industry. He has spent the last nine years at McCownGordon and successfully helped open two regional offices and develop teams in Manhattan and Wichita.

His career spans the entire spectrum of construction starting as a carpenter and filling every role up to Vice President and currently Director of Construction Operations. Dean is currently the Past President of American General Contractors (AGC) of Kansas with a key focus on workforce development, construction delivery methods, and increasing the involvement of AGC subcommittees throughout the state.

“Dean has had a tremendous impact on the trajectory and success of our growing business over the years. From his early involvement in helping start two offices in Kansas to his love and passion for growing and mentoring our operational teams, we cannot thank him enough for his dedicated service,” said Todd Knight, Senior Vice President and Kansas Regional Leader. “I speak for our entire team as we wish Dean the best as he transitions to the next, and well-deserved, chapter in his life.”

Dean is looking forward to spending his retirement traveling the country with his wife and spending time with his family and 10 grandkids.
