McCownGordon managed the construction of University Health’s parking garage and state-of-the-art medical office building, a facility centered on academic, patient-centered care in the heart of Kansas City. The four-story facility offers comfortable, spacious patient rooms and waiting areas, interactive technology to enhance patient/provider communication with a connected parking garage.

Truman Medical Center University II in Kansas City

Specialty spaces within the building include a women’s clinic with digital imaging and an ultrasound room, exam rooms, treatment rooms, blood-draw laboratories, Walgreens pharmacy, offices, nurse and triage spaces, consult room, classrooms, and applicable support spaces. Additional shell space was constructed for a future dialysis tenant along, additional clinical tenants and a service switch and generator building on the campus.

Adjacent to the medical building sits a four-level, three-bay precast parking garage. The garage is wrapped in articulating metal panels with three sky bridges interconnecting all the campus’ facilities, giving patients, visitors and staff easy access.
