Project Case Study
The original high school was constructed in 1925 with only minor renovations being made since that time. The project included a 29,000 SF addition to the high school encompassing new classrooms, band room, art room, kitchen, storm shelter, locker rooms and commons. In addition, the project will demolished part of the existing high school, making room for additional parking spaces.
The Montezuma Elementary School is located on the same campus as the South Gray High School. The project also included a 3,000 SF addition for a preschool and music room to the elementary school. It was essential for our team to maintain a proactive mindset throughout the project and to establish clear expectations from the beginning including constant communication between all parties and maintaining safety as a top priority, especially with work taking place on an active, occupied site.

During a literacy night for the on-campus preschool, Superintendent Bryce Case and Field Engineer Alex Wilson read to the community and had a construction themed photo booth set up.
