Tallgrass Branch Intrust Bank built by McCownGordon Construction.
Due to the Tallgrass Branch continuing to be open during regular banking hours, communication with the branch manager and facilities director was of utmost importance during the multi-phase construction approach.
The main floor renovations included new casework and trim, doors and hardware, electrical and HVAC, flooring and acoustical ceilings. Basement improvements included plumbing, HVAC, and electrical upgrades as well as new doors and hardware. The project also included repairs to waterproofing at the existing exterior stairwell, mill and overlay the parking lot, landscaping and mechanical yard with screenwall.
Minority and disadvanted business enterprise (MBE/DBE) participation was an important component for Intrust Bank. Our preconstruction team made this a priority during the bidding process and was able to achieve 14.6% MBE/DBE participation.
McCownGordon built the new Intrust Bank Skywalk in downtown Wichita.

For the Main Street Skywalk renovation, our team removed the exterior insulation finishing system (EIFS), subframing, drywall, roofing and storefront and replaced with a new roof, substructure framing, interior framing and drywall, storefront, and aluminum composite material (ACM) panels. This project was completed with minimal impact to business operations.
