Staircase that leads up to shelves of books at the City of Anna Texas Library, built by McCownGordon

The 32,500 square foot library features two stories of bookshelves, meeting rooms, communal spaces and play areas–all designed with vibrant colors and playful shapes. The library also includes a state-of-the art makers space and spacious event rooms. The rooftop patio provides visitors with a tranquil place to gather and read while overlooking the new central plaza.

Our structural and MEP experts were tremendous assets to the team ensuring MEP systems were installed correctly and validating the specifications for the elevated slab-on-deck, saving time and unnecessary re-work.

McCownGordon worked hand-in-hand with the City of Anna and BRW Architects to bring the City of Anna its first public library−a facility which will serve and inspire the community for years to come.
