The first phase was a complete build-out of the first two floors to accommodate the learning goals and environment of the charter school. Spaces within include classrooms, staff offices, multi-purpose room, reception area and staff break rooms. The building received new HVAC equipment, distribution, electrical service, lighting and fire alarm and fire suppression systems. The team also relocated a rest room and made renovations to additional rest rooms.

The second phase of construction was  build-out of the third floor providing the school more space to teach and learn.McCownGordon worked efficiently to overcome a challenging fast-track schedule—a mere 10 weeks to complete construction of Phase 1. Using the design-build approach, the team worked hand-in-hand with the architect partner to maximize value. The team worked to achieve a thorough value engineering process to adhere to the tight budget.
