Close Coordination
The 7,000-SF renovation included the installation of a new water-for-injection (WFI) loop, a new 23,000-pound blow-fill-seal (BFS) machine and modifications to existing product storage tanks. The project presented a unique challenge of maintaining ongoing operations while executing complex construction activities. The team worked closely with facility personnel to coordinate utility shutdowns with production schedules, minimizing operational disruptions and protecting product integrity.
Proactive Approach
During preconstruction, a compressed planning schedule and an initial budget overrun were addressed through collaborative value engineering and scope refinement efforts, ultimately aligning the project with budget goals while preserving critical operational requirements. The team’s proactive approach, combined with successful management of work in an active manufacturing environment, allowed the client to expand sterile production capabilities while maintaining business continuity throughout construction.
