The 30,000 square foot facility includes approximately 2,000 spectator seats, merchandise/sales area, locker rooms, restrooms, storage, lighting, sound system and video display. The project began construction in December 2018, after the completion of the volleyball season. The team provided an innovative schedule solution to complete the entire project during the off season, so the team’s season would not be disrupted.

The team demolished the existing Horejsi complex and constructed the new facility in its place. Significant preplanning, logistics and safety were a top priority to ensure students, faculty and staff remained safe on the active campus. This included maintaining active operations in the iconic Allen Fieldhouse throughout the basketball season.
