Chilled Water Plant Expansion

Kansas State University

McCownGordon was selected through a qualifications-based selection process for Kansas State University’s Chilled Water Plant Expansion project. The new system expands the chilled water generation capacity, increases the distribution system required to deliver the chilled water, and connects additional new and existing buildings to the system. The project includes new chilled water distribution pipe throughout campus and new steam tunnel and lines to feed the new College of Business. MEP renovations to multiple campus buildings to increase energy efficiencies within the HVAC systems were also included in the scope. In preparation for future growth, the team also laid the groundwork for expanding campus facilities.
