Sunset Drive Office Building

Johnson County, KS

The 128,000 square-foot Sunset Drive complex features cool reflecting pools around the main entrance and, just inside the lobby, a rainwater cistern feeding a demonstration native plant garden. Daylight is everywhere thanks to a high wall of low-e glass on the south side and rooflines designed to bring in natural light throughout office spaces. The LEED Gold building features high quality, durable materials to ensure high value over time and reduce maintenance costs. This includes reclaimed redwood siding, precast architectural concrete, aluminum glazing systems, and white metal roofing to reflect heat.

McCownGordon’s team was excellent to work with throughout the entire project. Their dedication to the success of the project was evident from the start. The project schedule was a challenging one but never in doubt because McCownGordon diligently kept it at the forefront.
