McCownGordon Construction was selected to complete an addition to Belton High School. The addition includes a fieldhouse, performing arts center, aquatics center with an 8-lane competition pool, administration offices, locker rooms, classroom additions and parking.
The finishes are polished and burnished concrete. While these are fairly typical for most high schools, they are a higher finish because they are associated with a pool, gym and performing arts center.
Before construction started we evaluated the project and came up with nearly $2 Million of value engineering options. We put a price to every decision and worked with the school district to help them make the best choices for their additions.
All the additions are in multiple locations around an occupied school. The team has gone through extra precautions to ensure safety with all students, faculty, staff and visitors during construction.
