Museum at Prairiefire

American Museum of Natural History

The Museum at Prairiefire is the first continuous venue outside of New York for traveling exhibits by the American Museum of Natural History. Working closely with Merrill Companies and the American Museum of Natural History, McCownGordon was engaged in the project for several years. Focused on creating value for the museum, the team worked to validate the budget, completed cost analyses, assisted with material selections, and offered creative cost options. With an intricate design and stone facade replicating a fire, field coordination and communication was crucial during the construction phase to meet an aggressive schedule.

It’s a very complex and very bold endeavor and not one that is easy to pull off. This commands huge respect and excitement.
