Chris Vaeth named to ENR’s list of “20 under 40”

Kansas City, MO (January 16, 2019) – ENR Midwest recently named McCownGordon’s Vice President of Kansas City Market, Chris Vaeth, as a 2019 Top Young Professional. ENR Midwest selected 20 individuals based on industry portfolios, accomplishments, philanthropy, innovative ideas and track record fostering the growth of design and construction technology.
Currently, Chris is a member of the Executive Leadership team at McCownGordon where he plays an instrumental role in McCownGordon’s overall construction operations, including business development efforts and propelling its rapid growth. Chris focuses on creating value for clients, offering cost-effective solutions and collaborative delivery methods. His experience encompasses projects at numerous marquee projects in the Kansas City marketplace, including Garmin Global Headquarters expansion, , University of Missouri – Kansas City, Church of the Resurrection, State Street Data Center and many more. Chris’s projects have received numerous awards, including several “Project of the Year” finalist recognitions from Associated General Contractors of America. Best Institutional Project for two projects from DBIA Mid-America Region, the Governors Energy Efficiency award from the state of Kansas, and more than 20 other awards from national and international entities.

At McCownGordon, Chris serves as a guide and mentor for all company associates. Employees appreciate his sharp wit and sense of humor. Chris expanded his leadership skills through participating in and playing a pivotal role in numerous leadership programs, including the City of Overland Park Leadership O.P. where he spent a year on the programs Steering committee. He is also a graduate of the Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce Centurions leadership program. Additionally, Chris serves on the board of the Wyandotte County Economic Development Corporation where he acts as a catalyst for the economic development taking place in downtown Kansas City, Kansas.
Chris embodies the McCownGordon philosophy of giving back to the community. He co-founded and serves as Vice President of the Board for Give Hope Back, as well as on the Red Shoe Shindig committee, which is the largest fundraising event for Ronald McDonald House Charities of Kansas City.
